Putting an SVG measure in a table

Copy the measure, then tell Power BI to treat the column as an image.

DAX SVG writes a measure that returns a picture as text. Power BI will only draw it if you tell it the column holds an image.

  • Copy the measure and add it to your model as a new measure.
  • Put it in a table or matrix as a value.
  • Select the measure in the Fields list, open Column tools, and set Data category to Image URL.

Without that last step you will see a long line of text instead of a chart, which is the single most common reason these measures look broken.

The measures are plain DAX with no external dependency, so they keep working in the service and in exported PDFs.
