Your first branded visual

From an empty account to a .pbiviz file you can drop into Power BI.

Everything in BI Studio starts from a brand: the colors and fonts you want your reports to use. Set that up once and every tool draws from it.

  • Open Brands and add your colors. The palette is what charts cycle through; the text color is what labels use.
  • Open Visual Designer and press New design. Pick a chart type from the gallery.
  • The preview on the right is a real Power BI visual, running with sample data. Change a setting and it redraws.
  • When it looks right, press Export. You get a .pbiviz file.

In Power BI Desktop, choose Import a visual from a file under the visuals pane, pick the .pbiviz, and your visual appears alongside the built-in ones.

The file is built in your browser, so nothing about your report leaves your machine during export.
